Irši (German: Hirschenhof ) is a village in the Koknese district in Latvia. It is located about 100 kilometers east of Riga .
history
The Hirschenhof estate was established in 1637 as a gift from Queen Christine to Captain Abraham Larsson Hirsch. From 1766 Empress Catherine II settled German colonists, whose descendants lived here until 1939.
