There was a consular mission of Persia in Vienna since 1873; at that time the Persian ambassador in London was also accredited to the Viennese court. The embassy has existed since 1878.
chancellery
The embassy is located in the former Palais Sigray St. Marsan in Wien-Landstrasse at Reisnerstrasse 49 / Jaurèsgasse 9, the entrance is in the new building (address Jaurèsgasse 9) and it is now called the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran . In between, she was temporarily located in the Palais Wessely (4th, Argentinierstrasse), and Palais Redlich (Jaurèsgasse 3).
