The Iratais Point (English; Bulgarian нос Иратаис nos Iratais ) is a headland at the southern end of Desolation Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is separated from the Miladinovi Islets to the south by the Neck or Nothing Passage .
British scientists mapped it in 1968. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after Iratais , Kawkhan under Khan Krum in the southern Bulgarian Black Sea region in the 9th century .
