Irina London (born April 22, 1991 in Düsseldorf ) is a German soccer player . She has been under contract with the first division club 1. FC Köln since the 2012/13 season .

Career

As a youth, London played for FCR 2001 Duisburg , with whose B-Juniors she won the German championship in 2007 after beating Bayern Munich 1-0 in the final . From 2008 to 2012 she was part of the squad of the second division team of the FCR and also moved up to the first division squad for the 2009/10 season. On August 15, 2010, she came on for Jennifer Oster in the 76th minute in the 9-0 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen , making her Bundesliga debut . In the same season, she played two games for Duisburg in the UEFA Women's Champions League .

In September 2011, London suffered a cruciate ligament rupture and had to take several months off. After the relegation of Duisburg's second team to the Regionalliga West , she moved to the second division 1.FC Köln for the 2012/13 season , where she immediately fought for a regular place and with her team as second behind TSG 1899 Hoffenheim this season only barely won the Bundesliga Missed climb. After another runner-up in 2013/14 , she was promoted to the Bundesliga as the undefeated champions of the 2nd Bundesliga South with the 2014/15 team.
