The Iris River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
River course
The river has its source in the Middlesex Plains , about 5 km north of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park . From there it flows to the northeast and forms the Wilmot River in Lake Gairdner together with the River Lea .
