The River Forth is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

River course

The river has its source on the northern slopes of Mount Pelion West in the center of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park . From there it flows to the north-northeast and flows into the Bass Strait near the small town of Leith , around nine kilometers west of Devonport .
