The Dove River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

River course

The river has its source on the northwest slopes of Mount Campbell in the northern part of the Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park . From there it first flows east to Dove Lake and then further north to the northern tip of the national park. There it turns to the east and flows about 4 km south of the settlement Lorinna into Lake Cethena and thus into the Forth River .
