Irmantas Zelmikas (born January 3, 1980 in Telšiai ) is a former Lithuanian football player .

Career

society

In 1998 he started his career at Inkaras Kaunas . After two years with Inkaras, he moved to Kareda Kaunas in 2000 . The next stop was at FBK Kaunas . After a short move back to Inkaras, he played again for FBK Kaunas. This was followed by short stays at FK Šilutė and the Belarusian association MTZ-RIPA Minsk . He switched again to FBK Kaunas before moving abroad again: this time to the Ukrainian club Tawrija Simferopol . He then returned to FBK Kaunas at short notice. In 2009 he moved to FK Sūduva Marijampolė . In the summer of 2009 he joined the Israeli first division club Hapoel Ra'anana . He became a regular in the defense and had to relegate his team at the end of the season . He left the club again and was hired by FK Muğan Salyan in Azerbaijan. In early 2011 he returned to Lithuania, where he joined Banga Gargždai . In early 2012, league rival Kruoja Pakruojis signed him . In early 2013 he was initially without a club before moving to the Norwegian amateur club Askim FK . He ended his career there at the end of 2015.

National team

Irmantas Zelmikas made a total of 13 international appearances for Lithuania between 2003 and 2010 .
