Irmentraud (Buchau)

Irmentraud († 1021 ) was the 3rd abbess of the free worldly Buchau women's monastery in what is now Bad Buchau am Federsee in Germany in Baden-Württemberg .

Little is known about Irmentraud's life . Written evidence about them can be found in the Chronicon Suevicum universale Hermann the Lame dated 1021.

Irmendrudis etiam Buochaugiensis abbatissa venerabilis X Kal. Martii obiit, eique Abarhild abbatissa successit.

According to his information, an Irmentraud died in 1021, followed by Abarhild. We know about Buchau that around 1014 or 1022 it was granted the right to coin and market .
