The Iroquois Plateau is a large, approximately 1500 m high and icy plateau in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Pensacola Mountains , it is located in the southern part of the Washington Escarpment .
The United States Geological Survey mapped the plateau using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter , which was often used for field research in Antarctica was used.
