Isabel Ercilla Avellán de Neefe (born August 20, 1933 ) is a former Argentine athlete who was successful in the shot put and discus throw . She won three gold medals at South American Championships .

Isabel Avellán took second place at the Pan American Games in Mexico City in 1955 with 40.06 meters, behind her compatriot Ingeborg Pfüller , who had thrown 43.19 meters. In 1956 Avellán won the South American Championships in Santiago de Chile with 44.08 meters, while she was almost six meters ahead of second-placed Chilean Rosa Riveros . In 1956 Avellán also set her personal best of 47.22 meters. In November 1956 at the Olympic Games in Melbourne she reached the final in the discus throw and finished sixth with 46.73 meters. At the South American Championships in Montevideo in 1958 , Isabel Avellán won with 12.69 meters in the shot put and with 44.57 meters in the discus throw.

With a height of 1.62 meters, her competition weight was 70 kilograms.
