Isabel Schorer (born August 7, 1978 in St. Gallen ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ) from St. Gallen. She has represented the constituency of St. Gallen in the Cantonal Council of the Canton of St. Gallen since 2016 .

Life and commitment

Isabel Schorer completed the Matura type E (economics and law) in 1998 at the canton school at Burggraben in St.Gallen. She then studied business administration at the University of Zurich, spent a semester at the University of Washington ( Seattle ) and completed her MBA (lic.oec.publ.) In 2004. In 2007 she received her master's degree in communication management at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences . Schorer gained his first professional experience in various positions at Credit Suisse up to and including Project Manager Sales & Communication. After an interim stop as Marketing Manager at Eurex Zürich AG, Isabel Schorer took on the position of Head of Location Promotion City of St.Gallen. During this almost ten-year activity, she was among other things co-founder of Startfeld, IT rocks! and accompanied site developments, operated classic business development and launched location marketing activities. In 2017/2018 she completed the Certificate of Global Management at INSEAD Business School . In January 2019, Isabel Schorer took over the management of the national communications agency Farner in St.Gallen as a member of the executive board.

Schorer is a board member of the public transport interest group of the Eastern Switzerland section, board member of the patrons' association TSV St. Otmar St. Gallen .

Isabel Schorer lives with her partner in the city of St.Gallen.

In addition to his professional activity, Schorer became politically active. In 2016 she was elected to the Cantonal Council for the FDP.
