Isabel Villaseñor
Isabel "Chabela" Villaseñor (born May 18, 1909 in Guadalajara , † March 13, 1953 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican sculptor , painter and graphic artist .
biography
Villaseñor learned sculpture from 1928 to 1930 at the Centro Popular de Pintura " Santiago Rebull " in Mexico City, which was directed by Gabriel Fernández Ledesma . For a year she painted a mural in Hidalgo and in the same year exhibited in the Mexican national library at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and together with the group of revolutionary painters "30-30". Her sculptures are made of metal and wood. Her son's death in 1934 was also reflected in her work. She later gave birth to a daughter named Olinca . Villaseñor himself died of a heart attack.
