Isabella Countess von Tauffkirchen-Engelberg (also Isabella (Bella) Countess Tauffkirchen ; born March 11, 1808 in Munich ; †  June 13, 1855 ) came from a Bavarian aristocratic family. Her portrait was from January to April 1828 by the portrait painter Joseph Karl Stieler for the famous Gallery of Beauties of the Bavarian King Ludwig I painted.

She was the daughter of Count Maximilian Emanuel Joseph Maria Carl, Count of Tauffkirchen zu Guttenburg and Engelburg, and his wife Maria Anna Countess Lodron-Laterano and Castell Romano . Her father had attended the military academy and acquired engineering skills there. He held court posts. He had the position of lieutenant colonel à la suite , was a colonel silver chamberlain and was considered a good connoisseur and promoter of mechanics.

Life

On April 20, 1830 she married Count Hector Julian Roman Count von Kwilecky auf Kwicz in the Grand Duchy of Posen (Prussia, now Poland). They had two sons together. The marriage ended with the death of her husband on August 30, 1843. She herself died on June 13, 1855.

The king had the dark-haired beauty represented in a splendid red velvet robe with puffy white, semi-transparent puff sleeves and a red ruffled hat with ribbons interwoven with gold. She is one of the representatives of the Bavarian nobility in King Ludwig's gallery. Her portrait was one of the first ten portraits of beauties to be presented to the public in 1829.

Her sister Karoline Countess von Tauffkirchen auf Engelberg (* 1806), lady of honor of the Theresa Order , was married to the Bavarian general Karl Freiherr von Pflimmern (1787–1850).
