Isabelle Graw
Isabelle Graw (* 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German art critic and professor of art theory at the State University of Fine Arts - Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main .
Graw studied political science in Paris, France from 1982 to 1987 . In 1990 she founded the quarterly magazine Texte zur Kunst together with Stefan Germer and has been its sole editor since Germer's death (1998). Graw is regularly featured in the issues of the magazine with articles, reviews, interviews and discussions. From 1995–1997 she led the master class for visual education at the University of Applied Arts Vienna . Together with Daniel Birnbaum , she founded the Institute for Art Criticism at the Städelschule in 2003 , which deals with the practice of art criticism and its disciplinary references.
Graw lives in Berlin . She also published texts in the art magazine Flash Art .
