Ischkalds
Ischkalds ( Belarusian Ішкальдзь ; Russian Ишколдь ) is a village in Selsavet Pjatkowitschy , Baranavichy Rajon in northeastern Breszkaya Woblasz , Belarus . The place, located near the M1 Brest - Minsk motorway , has 264 inhabitants (as of 2005), the postcode is 225365.
The Trinity Monastery in Ischkalds is a well-known architectural monument from the 15th century . The year 1472 is officially the year the monastery was built. The monastery was built in the Gothic style.
Another attraction of the place is the red bison built on the motorway, about 20 meters high . It serves as a landmark and tourist advertising figure and stands as a symbol for the Breszkaja Woblasz, the eastern border of which the place marks on the highway.
