The Baranovichy Rajon ( Belarusian Баранавіцкі раён Baranawizki rajon ; Russian Барановичский район Baranowitschski rajon ) is an administrative unit in the northern part of the Breszkaya Woblasz in Belarus . The area of ​​the Rajons is 2171.88 km² or 6.7% of the total area of ​​the Woblasz. The administrative unit includes 243 localities and is divided into a Pasjalkowy Sawet and 21 Selsawets . The administrative center of the Rajon is the city of Baranavichy , which is not itself part of the Rajon.

The Baranavichy Rajon is the northernmost Rajon in the Breszkaya Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in the Brest Region are in the southeast Ljachawitschy and southwest Ivatsevichy . In the north and west the Rajon borders on the Hrodsenskaja Woblasz , in the northeast on the Minskaya Woblasz .

The largest rivers are Shchara , Myshanka and Issa .
