The M1 (Magistrale No. 1) is a trunk road in Belarus . It is part of European route 30 and the most important road connection in Belarus, as it connects the Russian capital Moscow via Belarus with western Europe. The M1 runs from the Russian border past Orscha , Baryssau , Minsk and Baranavichy to the Polish border near Brest . It follows the main traffic axis of the country (parallel to the Warsaw- Minsk-Moscow railway line ). The route between Kobryn ( M10 ) and Orsha (approx. 505 km) has been developed as a motorway .
