The Isefjord is a 35 km long, 305 km² large lagoon in the northwest of the Danish island of Zealand .

The specialty of the Isefjord is that it is deeper inland than at its opening to the Kattegat between Hundested and Rørvig . The bay has an average depth of 5 to 7 meters; it is deepest at Orø at 17 meters. The salt content is between 1.6% and 2.2%.

The shoreline of the Isefjord forms numerous bays: the Nykøbing Bugt near Nykøbing Sjælland , the Lammefjord , the Holbæk Fjord near Holbæk , Inderbredning and Bramsnæs Bugt and the Jægerspris Bugt near Jægerspris .

The Isefjord leads east into the Roskilde Fjord .
