Iselle di Trasquera (short: Iselle ) is a train station in Italy at the south portal of the Simplon railway tunnel . On May 29, 1905, a memorial was inaugurated directly at the train station in memory of the workers who died while building the tunnel.

From 1906 to 1930 Iselle was the end point of three-phase power from Brig . The locomotives were changed here until 1929, because the trains in the direction of Switzerland ran on electricity, but steam traction prevailed on the Italian section at that time. The water crane to supply the locomotives is still in place today (2017).

The station is located south of the south portal of the longest railway tunnel in the world until the 1970s; it is the border station between Italy and Switzerland and the loading station for car trains to Brig .

The railway facilities belong to the municipality of Trasquera in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola . The village of the same name is located above Iselle di Trasquera .

The village of Iselle is about a kilometer further upstream on the Diveria in the direction of the Simplon Pass .
