Isengard from Hanau

Isengard von Hanau was a daughter of Reinhard I. von Hanau (* around 1225; first mentioned: 1243; † 20 September 1281 ) and his wife, Adelheid von Münzenberg († around 1291), daughter of Ulrich I von Hagen-Münzenberg .

Isengard was married to Count Gerhard II von Weilnau (proven between 1265 and 1287) from 1265 and is also documented from this point on. From the marriage emerged:

  1. Heinrich V (verified from 1281; † 1342), married to Mechtild von Isenburg -Grenzau (verified 1303–1342)
  2. Reinhard (verified 1282–1344), initially spiritual, later married to Margaretha von Salza (verified 1328–1365)
  3. Elisabeth (verified from 1331; † 1365), married to Konrad von Trimberg (verified 1324–1369)
  4. Gerhard (mentioned 1305), Abbot of the Arnstein Monastery
