The Isla Ximena ( Spanish is) a small island off the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the largest of the Moss Islands in Hughes Bay and is 3 km east of Midas Island between this island and Cierva Point . The island is not icy in the Antarctic summer and lush overgrown with mainly mosses and lichens , which give it a reddish to coffee-brown color.
The name of the island was first recorded on a Chilean map from 1957. The further naming background has not been passed down.
