The Islote Sandra is an island just before the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located in the southeast of the Argentino Canal in front of the entrance to Oscar Cove . In the UK it is known as the headland under the name Stony Point . In Argentina they are known as Punta Piedras .
Scientists of the 5th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1950–1951) named them after the first names of relatives of one of the expedition members. The English and Argentine names are descriptive.
