The Islotes Libertad are a group of islands in the west of the Joinville Island group off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula belonging Wide Open Islands .
Scientists on an Argentine Antarctic expedition (1953–1954) named her after the hometown of Libertad, one of the officers of her ship Chiriguano .
