Ismael Benegas , full name Ismael Benegas Arevalos , (born August 1, 1987 in Zeballos Cué ) is a Paraguayan football player .

Depending on the source, the 1.82 meter or 1.83 meter tall defensive player has been in the ranks of the Paraguayan first division club Libertad since 2007 . In the 2009 and 2010 playing years, he made 34 appearances in the Primera División . He also completed eight matches in the Copa Libertadores and one in the Copa Sudamericana . The Apertura 2011 he then spent in ranks of Rubio Ñu and played there 16 league games. He then returned to Club Libertad. From the Clausura 2011 to the end of the Apertura 2013, the statistics show a further 74 top division games for him. In doing so, he scored a hit. Again he was used 18 times in the Copa Libertadores. For the 2013/14 season he joined the Uruguayan club Nacional Montevideo on loan in the Primera División . The loan agreement for a season with the option of an extension for a further round contains an option to buy after half a year and after a full year. For the Bolsos , he made 24 league appearances (one goal) and ran once in the Copa Libertadores. After the season he left the Montevideans and initially rejoined Club Libertad. During this third station with the Paraguayans, he was used 22 in first division games (three goals) and five games (no goal) of the Copa Sudamericana 2014 . In early July 2015 he moved to the Argentine club CA Colón , for which he appeared in 28 first division games and scored one goal and once (no goal) in the Copa Argentina . In mid-August 2016, he joined the Quilmes AC , for which he has so far (as of September 22, 2016) played a league game (no goal).

National team

In 2011 he is also listed as part of the Paraguayan national team . For the Selección he has so far completed three internationals (no goal). He was present at the time of national coach Tata Martino in the games of Albirroja against Romania and Argentina, Francisco Arce also called him for the encounter with Chile. In March 2013, the then coach Gerardo Pelusso nominated him for the first time in his tenure for the upcoming game against Ecuador and thus for the first time for a World Cup qualifier.
