history

The company was founded in 1968 by the Israeli government. In 1982 the company went public in Tel Aviv. In 1999 the Ofer Brothers Group acquired the majority of the company. Idan Ofer holds 3.9% of the company and another 46.9% is held by Millennium Investments Elad , which he controls . The Bank Leumi Le-Israel owns 5.9%. The mixing company is mainly active in the chemicals & fertilizers sector.

The shares in IC Energy (Inkia), IC Green Energy , ZIM , Qoros and Tower Semiconductor were spun off as Kenon Holdings in early 2015 .
