Ofer Brothers Group
The Ofer Brothers Group , or Ofer Group for short , is an Israeli group of companies . The activities of the conglomerate include container shipping , aviation , automobiles , logistics , chemicals , energy , media , real estate and other investments .

The group is owned by the Ofer family and by Ehud Angel (usually called Udi Angel ). The Ofer family is one of the richest in Israel. The head of the family were the brothers Sammy Ofer and Juli Ofer (English spelling: Yuli Ofer, eigtl. Yehuda ). In the 1950s, they initially built up the shipping company Ofer Brothers, which gradually diversified into other business areas. Both died in 2011.
The brothers Eyal Ofer and Idan Ofer are the two sons of Sammy Ofer:
Idan Ofer is a director of the Ofer Group and various subsidiaries. He holds an MBA from the London Business School , which he still supports financially and sits on its European advisory board. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Kennedy School and graduated from Haifa University . After several years in the shipping and offshore oil storage industry in Asia and the USA, he was Chairman (CEO) of the Israel Corporation from 1999 to 2009. He controls Mashat Investments Ltd., which holds 80% of Millenium Investments Elad, which in turn owns 46.9% of the Israel Corporation. Idan Ofer is also Chairman of Better Place . He used to be Chairman of United Mizrahi Bank (merged into Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot in 2005).
Eyal Ofer is chairman of real estate investment firm Ofer Global Holdings . He graduated from Atlantic College in Architecture and Engineering. From May 1991 he was Chairman and CEO of the real estate management company Deerbrook. Since 1995 he has been one of the directors of the world's second largest cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises , in which the Ofer Group hasafinancial stakethrough Cruise Associates , a joint venture with the Pritzker family ( Hyatt Hotels). He is also Chairman and CEO of the real estate company Carlyle MG , and since 1996 has also been Co-Chairman of the real estate investment fund Miller Global . He is also a member of the international advisory board of the German real estate and public finance bank Eurohypo ( Commerzbank group).
Udi Angel , ex-husband of Juli Ofer 's daughter Liora, is 50% co-owner and Executive Chairman of the Ofer Brothers Group and various subsidiaries. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics from Haifa University. He joined Ofer Shipping in 1975 and became Managing Director in 1980. He was directly involved in the 1999 takeover of Israel Corporation by Ofer Brothers and from 1999 to 2003 Chairman of Zim Integrated Shipping Services . Since 1998 he has also been Austria's Honorary Consul for the districts of Haifa and Northern Israel. He was an active triathlete and served in the Israeli army as a tank commander. Udi Angel supports various Israeli children's aid organizations such as Aleh and Variety Israel.

The Ofer Shipping Group is the core part of the Ofer Brothers Group. It operates container ships, bulk carriers, multi-purpose carriers, car carriers, chemical tankers, refrigerated ships and tankers for special products.
aviation
Ofer Aviation has been involved in leasing and aircraft fleet management since it was founded in 2005 . The fleet currently includes the Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320 model families .

Since 1999 the Ofer Brothers Group has been the majority owner of the largest Israeli industrial holding , the Israel Corporation .
Ofer Brother Properties
- Mizrahi Tefahot : The bank was created in 2005 from the merger, which was founded in 1923 United Mizrahi Bank (UMB) with Tefahot Israel Mortgage Bank , which the then largest bank merger was in Israel. In 2010 it was the fourth largest Israeli bank in terms of assets under management. The largest individual shareholders today are the Ofer Group and the Wertheim-Feinberg Group (Moshe Wertheim).
