Itame vincularia is a butterfly fromthe Spanner family (Geometridae). The species name is derived from the Latin word vinculum with the meaning "ribbon" and refers to the drawing on the upper side of the forewing of the butterfly.

features

butterfly

The moths reach a wingspan of 27 to 32 millimeters. The color of the upper forewing varies from light gray to gray-brown. The outer and inner transverse lines are expanded to form black-brown bands and stand out clearly just like a rectangular discal spot of the same color next to the cell . In some specimens, however, the inner band and the discal stain may be missing. The upper side of the hind wing is colored light gray to gray-brown with almost no drawing. The antennae are comb-toothed in both males and females.

Caterpillar

Adult caterpillars are reddish gray in color, keeled on the sides. The topline is fine brown. Bristle warts appear strongly on the entire surface of the body. The head is brown with black spots on the face.
