Iván Mándy
Iván Mándy (born December 23, 1918 in Budapest ; † October 6, 1995 there ) was a Hungarian writer .
Life
In 1945, Mándy took over the authorship of the Hungarian literary magazine Újhold . After the Stalinist takeover, he became a freelance writer in the 1950s.
It was not until 1989 that he took over the management of a literary magazine again. Mándy was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature by the Hungarian Academy of Arts in 1993 .
Iván Mándy died in Budapest in 1995.
