Ivan Lukačić
Ivan Lukačić (born April 17, 1587 in Šibenik ; † September 20, 1648 in Split ) was a composer living in Dalmatia (then politically part of the Republic of Venice ).
Lukačić joined the Franciscan Order in 1597. He studied music in Rome and became cathedral music director in Split in 1615. A collection of Sacrae Cantiones with basso continuo accompaniment has come down to us, which contains 27 motets with organ accompaniment. The collection was lost during the Second World War. It was not until the 1980s that a copy was rediscovered in the Kraków Jagiellonian Library .
