Ivan Sabanov (born June 25, 1992 in Subotica , Serbia ) is a Croatian tennis player .
Career
Sabanov has been playing professional tournaments on a regular basis since 2011, mainly on the third-rate ITF Future Tour near his home country in Southeast Europe . He achieved successes almost exclusively in doubles. He won his first of a total of 20 future titles in doubles in 2013 in his native Serbia. He celebrated his premiere on the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour in 2015 in Cortina d'Ampezzo , where he immediately advanced to the semi-finals in doubles. As in almost all tournaments, his twin brother Matej played as a double partner at his side. After a few more semifinals, the pairing reached their first Challenger final in Bangalore at the end of 2017 . Sabanov ended the year in 197th place in the world rankings and thus for the first time in the top 200.
In mid-2018 the twin brothers received a wildcard for the double field from the tournament management of the tournament in Umag . Here they lost 4: 6, 7: 5, [8:10] against Roman Jebavý and Jiří Veselý . A year later they won their first Challenger title in San Benedetto .
