Ivy Queen
Ivy Queen ; actually Martha Ivelisse Pesante (born March 4, 1972 in Añasco , Puerto Rico ) is a reggaeton musician.
Life
Ivy Queen grew up in New York City . Her career began in the Puerto Rican group Noise , where she also wrote and played her first hit, Somos Raperos Pero No Delincuentes .
In 1997 her solo debut album En Mi Imperio was released on Sony International Records, it was sold over 100,000 times.
For her second album The Original Rude Girl (1998) she worked with Wyclef Jean .
Her next album Diva (2003) was produced by the Real Music label. All songs on the album were written and recorded by Ivy Queen himself, in collaboration with reggaeton artists such as K-7 , El Mexicano and producer Gran Omar .
On Ivy Queen's 2005 album Real , guest musicians include La India , Noriega , Fat Joe and Swizz Beatz .
