Career

Kolew started his career in 2003 at CSKA Sofia . With the club he won the Bulgarian championship and he also played in the CEV Cup . The outside attacker took part in two world and three European championships with the junior national team. In 2009 he went to Italy and played half a year each with Yoga Forlì and Bassano Volley. In 2011 he moved to the Iranian league to Heyat Mashhad . Because of the cultural difference, however, he did not feel comfortable, so in 2011 he signed a contract with the German Bundesliga club RWE Volleys Bottrop .
