Ivan Stepanovich Mishchenko
Ivan Stepanowitsch Mishchenko ( Russian Иван Степанович Мищенко ; born May 11, 1961 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet cyclist.
Mishchenko began cycling in 1970. After his success at the World Track Championship in 1978, he came to Kuibyshev in 1979 and was trained for road cycling by Vladimir Petrov .
In 1981 he was able to achieve a daily victory in the peace run , wear the yellow jersey of the top driver for four stages and finally take third place in the individual overall ranking. The Soviet Union won the team title with him. More victories followed.
