Ivan Stoizow (born March 22, 1985 in Plovdiv ) is a former Bulgarian weightlifter .
Career
He reached seventh place in the middleweight division at the 2004 Olympic Games . At the European Championships in 2004 he won the gold medal. In 2005 he was third at the European Championships. At the 2007 World Championships , he was able to win the world championship with 363.0 kg. Shortly before the 2008 Olympic Games, he was tested positive for metandienone in a doping control and banned for four years.
