Ivan Tanev
Iwan Tanew ( Bulgarian Иван Танев , English transcription Ivan Tanev ; born May 1, 1957 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian hammer thrower .
In 1986 he retired from qualification at the European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart . In 1987 he was tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Rome , in 1988 eighth at the Olympic Games in Rome and in 1990 sixth at the European Championships in Split .
At the 1991 World Cup in Tokyo and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, he did not get beyond the preliminary round.
In 1984, 1988, 1991 and 1992 he became national champion. He set his best performance of 82.08 m on September 3, 1988 in Sofia .
