Ivan Chernyavskyi

Iwan Tschernjawskyj ( Ukrainian Іван Чернявський , English transcription Ivan Chernyavskyy; born August 4, 1930 in Kuziwka , Ukrainian SSR ; † March 1, 2001 ) was a Ukrainian long-distance runner who started for the Soviet Union .

Tschernjawskyj was in a large family in the village Kuziwka in Rajon Smila of Cherkasy Oblast born.

At the Olympic Games in 1956 he was sixth over 10,000 m and tenth over 5000 m .

In 1957 he won bronze over 10,000 m at the World Festival of Youth and Students .
