The Ivanov Ridge ( Russian Ивановский хребет ) is a mountain range in the Kazakh region of Eastern Kazakhstan in the southwestern part of the Altai Mountains .
The Ivanov ridge belongs to the so-called Erz-Altai . It has a lengthwise extension in west-east direction of 100 km. The mountain range reaches a maximum height of 2776 m . The Ulba -Quellflüsse Tichaja and Grammatucha flow along the west and south-eastern edge of Ivanov-comb. The mining town of Ridder is located at the western foot of the mountain range. The mountains consist of mica slate and limestone . It is a deposit of various metal ores. The mountain slopes are covered by forests ( birch and aspens in the west, conifers in the east , mainly Siberian fir ).
