Felipe de Jesús Cueto González

Felipe de Jesús Cueto González OFM (born July 2, 1904 in Etzatlán , Jalisco ; † August 16, 1983 ) was a Mexican religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Tlalnepantla .

Life

Felipe de Jesús Cueto González entered the Franciscan order and was ordained a priest on September 24, 1932 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 13, 1964 as the first bishop of the diocese of Tlalnepantla established on the same date . The episcopal ordination donated him the apostolic delegate in Mexico, Archbishop Luigi Raimondi , the same year on April 1; Co - consecrators were Francisco Orozco Lomelín , auxiliary bishop in Mexico City , and Carlos Quintero Arce , bishop of Ciudad Valles .

He took part in the third and fourth session of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation on May 28, 1979.
