Izumi Yokokawa ( Japanese 横 川 泉 , Yokokawa Izumi ; born February 25, 1963 in Yamanashi Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Yokokawa learned to play football on the school team at Nirasaki High School and the university team at Meiji University . He signed his first contract with Fujita Industries in 1985 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the Japan Soccer League . In 1985 and 1988 he reached the final of the Imperial Cup . At the end of the 1989/90 season, the club was relegated to Division 2. For the club he completed 112 games. In 1992 he moved to Yokohama Marinos . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of 1994 he ended his career as a football player.
