Ján Golian , pseudonym Ley , Gama (born January 26, 1906 in Dombóvár , Austria-Hungary , † 1945 in Flossenbürg concentration camp ), was a Slovak brigadier general . Golian and Viest were captured by the German special task force 14 on November 3 in Pohronský Bukovec in Okres Banská Bystrica . Taken via Berlin to the Flossenbürg concentration camp in the Upper Palatinate , both were executed after torture in 1945.

The municipality of Golianovo near Nitra has been named after him since 1948.
