Ján Zápotoka (born March 23, 1988 in Bardejov ) is a Slovak football player . He has been playing for Lech Posen since 2009 in the Ekstraklasa , the highest Polish league.

Career

Zápotoka began his career in the youth team of BŠK Bardejov, from where he moved to MFK Dubnica in 2006 . In 2007/08 the club was ninth in the top Slovak league and eighth in 2008/09. The Slovak then moved to Poland and signed with Lech Posen . In his first season with the northern neighbor of his home country the championship title was won, and Zápotoka also made 13 appearances.

In 2010/11 he made his debut at European club level. In the playoff qualifier for the Europa League against the representative from Ukraine Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on August 19, 2010, he came on in the 86th minute for the Congolese Joël Omari Tshibamba . The game in Dnepropetrovsk was won 1-0.

During the winter break of the 2010/11 season he returned to MFK Dubnica.
