János Borzsei

János Borzsei (* 1943 ) is a former Hungarian table tennis player . He finished second in the individual at the 1968 European Championships .

Career

János Borzsei is a defender. From 1967 to 1975 he took part in four world championships . He reached the quarterfinals in 1973 in the individual, in 1975 he was fifth with the Hungarian team.

He won silver twice at European championships . In 1968 he lost the final in the individual against the Yugoslav Dragutin Šurbek , in 1974 he was second in the team competition. With Eberhard Schöler he reached the semi-finals in doubles in 1972 .

In December 1968, he was fifth in the ITTF world rankings .

With the club Bp. Vasutas SC he was in 1972, 1974, 1978 and 1979 Hungarian team champions.
