János Ginsztler

János Ginsztler (born March 23, 1943 in Budapest ; † July 7, 2019 ) was a Hungarian engineer. Ginsztler studied mechanical engineering and welding engineering and received his doctorate in materials science in Budapest in 1988 . In 1989 he became a professor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics . Among other things, he was director of the local engineering training institute. He retired in 2013. Ginsztler was a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Academia Europaea . He was also President of the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS).
