János Viski (composer)

János Viski [ ˈjaːnoʃ ˈviʃki ] (born June 10, 1906 in Klausenburg , † January 16, 1961 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian composer .

Viski studied with Zoltán Kodály from 1927 to 1932 . From 1941 he taught composition at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Budapest.

He composed a symphonic suite , a piano, a violin and a cello concerto , a ballad for baritone and orchestra , choral works and songs .
