The Jällunden is a lake in Sweden . It is located in the historical province of Småland , on the border of the provinces Hallands län and Jönköpings län .
geology
The lake has an area of 8.7 square kilometers and a maximum depth of 11 meters. It has a maximum length of 9.6 kilometers and is about 2 kilometers wide at its widest point. Jälluntofta is located on the eastern side of the lake and there are many small islands in the lake.
The lake drains over the Strömhultaåback into the southern Holmsjö and further over the Nissan into the Kattegat . Due to the high proportion of peat in the soil of the surrounding forests, the water of the lake is usually dark in color.

In Jälluntofta there is a campsite right on the lake, many bays offer the opportunity to swim. The lake can be navigated by boats, and offers the possibility of fishing.
