Jérôme Crews

Jérôme Crews (born February 20, 1977 in Karlsruhe ) is a German athlete. His specialty is the 110 meter hurdles .

Life

Crews started for MTG Mannheim and TV Wattenscheid . At the German Championships in Berlin in 1998 he was German champion with the 4 x 100 meter relay of MTG Mannheim. The DLV nominated crews for the European Championships , which took place in Budapest that same year. There he was fifth with the German season. In 2001 Crews qualified for the World Championships in Edmonton, where he reached the semi-finals over 110 meter hurdles.

Meanwhile switched to TV Wattenscheid, Crews became German champions with the Wattenscheid season in 2002 both indoors and outdoors. The following year he won his only individual championship title at the German Championships in Ulm. At the World Championships held in Paris in the same year, he again reached the semi-finals.

After the season, Crews returned to MTG Mannheim. In 2004 he took part in the Olympic Games in Athens, where he did not get past the lead due to a groin problem. He was operated on after the games.

Crews was in the Bundeswehr sports promotion group .
