Jón Gunnar Árnason

Jón Gunnar Árnason (born May 15, 1931 in Reykjavík , † April 21, 1989 ) was an Icelandic sculptor .

Life

From 1944 to 1946 he studied at the Icelandic Art Academy in Reykjavík. In 1952 he graduated from Reykjavík Technical University as an engineer. From 1965 to 1967 he continued his studies in fine arts at London's Hornsey College of Art (now part of Middlesex University ). One of his most famous works is the sculpture " Sun Voyage " in Reykjavík.
