Jozef Gara.

Józef Gara (born January 29, 1929 - † July 10, 2013 ) was a Polish miner and, after his retirement, writer, editor and author of poems and songs in Wilmesaurian .

Wilmesaurisch is an endangered language that is still spoken by around 70 people in Wilamowice , Upper Silesia .

After his retirement, Józef Gara set himself the task of promoting the language, collecting and editing poems, and writing his own poems and songs. From 2004 to 2006 he gave language lessons at the local elementary school .

In 2012 he got in touch with Wikimedia in Poland. He licensed his works under a Creative Commons license and had himself recorded speaking Wilmesaurian words.
