József Galambos

József Galambos (born July 27, 1900 in Gyüre , † February 6, 1980 in Budapest ) was a Hungarian marathon runner .

In 1927 he won the Košice marathon .

The following year he came in at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 on the 49th place in 3:05:58 h, was Hungarian champion and defended his title in Košice.

From 1930 to 1933 he was Hungarian champion four times. In 1932 he achieved his third and in 1933 (with his personal best of 2:37:54 h) his fourth victory in Košice.

In 1934 he was fourth in the European Athletics Championships in Turin in 2:55:14 h.

In 1935 and 1936 he won his sixth and seventh national titles in the marathon.
